DESCRIPTION
KW FRIG® is a series of horizontal and vertical freezers for preservation up to -30°C /-40°C, ideal, given its capacity, for use in scientific and hospital laboratories. The KWFRIG® series is characterised by safety and practicality:
- in the horizontal models: reinforced hinges with compensation to balance the door weight, facilitating both opening and closing; internal structure in light alloys with protection against the danger of scratching and breaking and smoothed internal angles for easier cleaning;
- in the vertical models: internal structure in smooth ABS, highly efficient evaporation trays and ice blocks for maximum thermal stability and safety.
HORIZONTAL MODELS
• External body in white pre-enamelled steel-sheets
• Internal aluminium casing
• Thickness of insulation 100 mm., with polyurethane foamed on site (reduced power consumption)
• Extremely low power consumption
• Internal light
• Support feet
• Forced air condensation, with particular reliability even in severe environmental conditions, through a high-efficiency exchanger with high-turbulence oval tubular sections
• R404A environmentally-friendly refrigerant; expansion via capillary tubes; airtight compressor with very low noise
• High ergonomics with modelled handles and ideal height for laboratory use.
• Main ON/OFF switch
• Electronic digital controller with microprocessor and LED display, with visual and sound minimum/maximum temperature alarm, button to mute the buzzer and setup for remote alarm signalling. The series uses the SLC control system.
VERTICAL MODELS
• External body in white pre-enamelled steel-sheets
• Internal casing in thermoformed ABS, smooth and with rounded edges for maximum cleaning
• High ergonomics with modelled handles and height, ideal for use
• Thickness of insulation 80 mm., with polyurethane foamed on site
• Evaporation trays (coil shape) for an excellent cooling effect on stored products
• Drawers, with the objective of minimising cold loss during material insertion/removal operations, to achieve minimal power consumption.
• Condenser with compressor cooled by axial fans for maximum reliability
• Very low noise
• HFC R404A environmentally-friendly refrigerant; expansion via capillary tubes
• Main ON/OFF switch
• Electronic digital controller with microprocessor and LED display, with visual and sound minimum/maximum temperature alarm, button to mute the buzzer and setup for remote alarm signalling. The series uses the SLC control system. The use of evaporation trays results in multi-level freezing with uniform, homogeneous temperature. The (eutectic) ice blocks device improves performance and drastically increases autonomy times in case of blackout or failure. In addition to suitable thermal inertia, ice blocks guarantee maximum temperature stability during normal operation at -40 °C. The plastic drawers are single-body, with a lot of space and easy to clean: they are real cold accumulators.

On this equipment series it is possible to carry out activities such as I. Q. (Installation Qualification) and O. Q. (Operational Qualification); please contact KW’s Commercial Office for an assessment of the costs entailed by such activities. KW is also available for ISO calibration certification services for the comparison of primary SIT samples.
